Foot Trimming

Our foot trimming service provides routine and therapeutic trimming services to maintain a healthy and comfortable herd for optimum performance.

The trimming is conducted through a hydraulic crush, which allows the trimming to be as efficient as possible. We aim to routinely trim each cow twice a year – ideally at 120 days in milk and at drying off. This allows the cow to maintain good foot conformation and significantly helps in preventing lameness. The service is overseen by one of our senior farm vets, Tom, with our qualified foot trimmer, Jamie, doing all the hard work cow side.

Alongside this service, Jamie is a qualified mobility scorer. As a result the progression and improvement of the herd can be closely monitored.

Alternatively please contact Jamie on 07941 510694 to discuss how we can help improve cow mobility within your herd.
